Our Methodology

We believe in complete transparency about how we determine item values. This page explains our data sources, verification process, and how often values are updated.

Data Sources

Our values are derived from active observation of the Grow a Garden trading community. We monitor multiple verified Discord trading servers where real players conduct real trades. Our team manually reviews completed trades, pinned community value lists, and trader consensus to establish fair market values.

For each value published on this site, we document the source and the date it was last verified. You can find this information on every individual item page. We never fabricate data or use automated scraping tools that could violate platform terms of service.

Verification Process

Every Friday, our two-person team reviews 3–5 active Grow a Garden trading Discord servers. We document observed completed trades, compare them against existing community value lists, and note any significant deviations from our published values.

If a value has shifted by more than 10% from our listed price, we flag it for review. We look for multiple corroborating trades before updating any value — a single outlier trade does not trigger a change.

Mutation Multipliers

Mutation multipliers (Golden: 20x, Rainbow: 50x, Shocked: 100x) are verified monthly against the live game and the official Grow a Garden wiki. After any major game update, we verify these multipliers within 48 hours. Each multiplier has a verified date field that reflects the most recent confirmation.

Update Cadence

• Item values: Reviewed and updated weekly (every Friday).
• Mutation multipliers: Verified monthly, plus within 48 hours of any major game update.
• New items: Added within one week of being introduced to the game, after sufficient trade data is available.

Limitations

These values are estimates based on community trade data. The actual value of any item in a trade depends on the specific traders involved, their negotiation, and the current market conditions at the time of the trade. Use our values as a guide, not as absolute rules.

We do not currently have access to any official Grow a Garden API for trade data. All values are community-sourced. This is an unofficial fan-made resource and is not affiliated with Roblox or the Grow a Garden development team.

Future Improvements

We plan to launch a public trade submission system where players can submit screenshots of completed trades. These submissions will be manually verified before being incorporated into our value calculations. This will give us a proprietary dataset that improves accuracy beyond what any single Discord server can provide.
